Yesterday a police officer pulled up to the grooming salon my sister works at. She had two small puppies from a home they had been removed from. This is a city that automatically puts down any dogs that they identify as “bully breeds.” One puppy would be heading for euthanasia because she has two bite marks on either leg. The cop didn’t want to see this and turned to the groomers.
Of course my sister took them, and headed straight for the vet. Injured puppy is on pain meds, and has a wound on one leg over half an inch deep. She will be fine.
She’s currently staying with me. In an apartment. We will be looking for a bigger place before our lease is up in January.
